Bhopal: Residents of two villages In Madhya Pradesh’s Balaghat district have announced a boycott of ten Muslim families, vowing no social or economic interaction and refusing to purchase goods from them. The move has sparked a tense and volatile situation in the villages.
According to Kashmir24, the boycott in Ghoti and Nandura villages was reportedly triggered by allegations that members of these Muslim families attempted to disrupt a Hindu religious gathering. The announcement has heightened communal tensions, and local Muslims staged protests against the action.
Some members of the Muslim community said that state officials and intelligence agencies are attempting to suppress information about the incident. Additionally, controversial statements made by local officials, including the village head (Sarpanch), district council secretary, and some Panchayat members, have further fueled tension between communities.
