Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, uproarious scenes rocked the Legislative Assembly today over BJP MLA Vikram Randhawa’s controversial remarks describing “Kashmiri Muslims as land grabbers,” sparking widespread outrage.
According to Kashmir24, Randhawa, the other day, had claimed during the session that Kashmiris had grabbed 90 percent of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) land in Jammu.
The statement triggered strong protests in the House today, with members from multiple parties terming the remarks divisive and defamatory, and demanding their withdrawal.
As soon as Question Hour ended, Awami Ittihad Party (AIP) MLA Sheikh Khursheed and Congress MLAs Irfan Hafiz Lone and Iftikhar Ahmad raised the issue, standing up with papers and posters in protest.
