Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has expressed deep concern over the condition of Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders, activists, and youth who remain illegally detained in jails, urging their immediate release.
According to Kashmir24, APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement in Srinagar, said that there is hope that senior Hurriyat leader Shabbir Ahmed Shah will be freed following the bail granted by the Indian Supreme Court. He noted that Shabbir Ahmed Shah has faced prolonged illegal detention in fabricated cases for several years.
The spokesperson highlighted the continued detention of thousands of Kashmiris, including Hurriyat leaders, activists, ordinary Kashmiri youth, human rights defenders, scholars, lawyers, students, and civil society members, languishing in jails across IIOJK and India. He said these detained Kashmiris are being subjected to large-scale political revenge.
