Congress to protest India-US trade deal tomorrow, slams ‘anti-farmer’ pact

Jammu: The Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir chapter of Congress has announced district-level protests across the territory tomorrow (March 9) against the India-US trade deal, terming it “anti-farmer and anti-people”.

According to Kashmir24, Congress leaders said that the Modia-led Indian regime has accepted terms detrimental to India’s economic and strategic interests, including heavy tariffs on Indian exports and duty-free access for US products. They criticize the US for granting India only a limited exemption period to import cheaper Russian fuel, calling it “humiliating”.

Congress working president Raman Bhalla and other leaders demanded Modi’s resignation, citing his silence on US pressure. The party also expresses concern over Indian and Kashmiri citizens’ safety, particularly students stranded in Iran and Arab countries.
