Srinagar:In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), people in several areas today took to the streets to stage protests on Youm-e-Quds and Juma-tul-Vida, expressing solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine and Iran, defying restrictions imposed by the Indian authorities.
According to Kashmir24, the BJP-led Indian government-installed administration in IIOJK under Lieutenant Governor had enforced strict restrictions in an attempt to thwart protests. However, defying these curbs, people came out on the streets after Friday prayers in different areas of Srinagar, Budgam, Baramulla, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Pulwama and other districts, holding demonstrations to express solidarity with Palestinians and Iran.
The protesters shouted slogans condemning the US-Israel aggression against Iran, and voiced strong support for the people of Palestine.
The demonstrations coincided with Youm-e-Quds, observed by Muslims worldwide on the last Friday of Ramadan to express solidarity with Palestinians.
