Srinagar: Hurriyat leaders and organizations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have said India is continuously violating international laws and conventions in the territory, leaving Kashmiris deprived of basic human rights.
According to Kashmir24, in separate statements, they said that New Delhi is using black laws like the Public Safety Act (PSA) and UAPA to arrest and detain people. The Modi regime’s 2019 revocation of Kashmir’s special status was a “flagrant violation of international laws,” Hurriyat leaders said.
They further said India is settling non-Kashmiris in IIOJK against UN resolutions and granting domicile status to non-locals on a fast-track basis. This, they added, violates UN commitments and changes the region’s demographic character.
