APHC says India can’t force Kashmiris to surrender, urges UN intervention

Srinagar: The BJP government, as part of its nefarious attempts to suppress the Kashmiris’ political voice and their just demand for plebiscite and intimidate them into submission, has deployed more paramilitary troops in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The APHC leadership in a statement issued in Srinagar said Indian atrocities cannot force Kashmiris to give up their just demand for the right to self-determination. They maintained that the Kashmiri people will continue their struggle till the Kashmir dispute is settled in accordance with their aspirations and the relevant UN resolutions.

The leadership said Kashmiris have been fighting for political justice, resolution of the lingering dispute and against India’s illegal occupation of their homeland and political injustice since 1947, and urged the United Nations to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with its own relevant resolutions.
