Raipur: In yet another disturbing incident highlighting rising intolerance against minorities in Modi’s India, a teenage Christian boy was assaulted by members of a Hindutva group in Champa, Chhattisgarh, and forced to chant the Hindu slogan ‘Jai Shri Ram’.
According to Kashmir24, the attackers filmed the assault and circulated the video on social media, drawing widespread concern.
Police intervened only after local residents staged a protest against the incident. Authorities said that two individuals have been arrested, and further investigations are ongoing.
This incident comes amid a growing pattern of violence and intimidation targeting the Christian community in Chhattisgarh.
