Srinagar, : Amid continued Indian repression, raids, and the use of black laws against Kashmiris, Indian police conducted searches at Central Jail Srinagar in connection with a fabricated case, seizing digital communication devices during the operation.
According to Kashmir24, the Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) wing of police carried out search operations across multiple barracks and blocks inside the prison on Saturday. Searches were conducted under various sections of the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
Officials claimed that the raids were conducted based on technical inputs about the presence of suspicious digital signatures inside the jail premises. They said that that the searches were carried out in a case registered in June 2023.
