Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has urged the United Nations and the international community to hold India accountable for grave human rights violations and war crimes against the oppressed Kashmiris.
According to Kashmir24, APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said India is attempting to mislead the international community through a false narrative on the UN-recognized disputed territory, with the aim of diverting attention from the core issue of Kashmir.
He expressed serious concern over ongoing cordon and search operations, house raids, arbitrary arrests of youth, and harassment of women and children in Srinagar and other areas. He said young people are routinely summoned to police stations and military camps, where they are subjected to intimidation and later booked under black laws such as the Public Safety Act (PSA) and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
