Srinagar: Indian troops martyred a 22-year-old Kashmiri youth in Kulgam district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the youth, identified as Imtiaz Ahmad Magray, was arrested by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Mazgam area of the district. He was later shot dead, and his body was dumped in a stream. His body was recovered from the Adbal Watoo area of the district.
According to locals, Magray was working as a labourer.
Indian police admitted that he was taken into custody during an operation in the Tangmarg forest area. However, troops claimed that the youth committed suicide by jumping into the stream. Local residents rejected the claim, insisting that he was killed in custody.
