Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Indian police have raided the homes of activists affiliated with the pro-freedom organization Ittihad-ul-Muslimeen in the Mirgund and Gund Khawaja Qasim areas of Baramulla district.
According to Kashmir24, the residences of Mujtaba Hussain Wani and Syed Muzaffar Rizvi were targeted during the raids. Indian police personnel harassed family members, ransacked household belongings, and seized mobile phones, laptops, and important documents, creating an atmosphere of fear and intimidation in the areas.
It is pertinent to note that the BJP-led Indian government has banned Jammu and Kashmir Ittihad-ul-Muslimeen, along with several other pro-freedom organizations, as part of its broader crackdown on political dissent in IIOJK.
