Srinagar: Multiple forest fires, driven by strong winds, erupted at multiple locations across the Kashmir Valley in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, officials said high-velocity winds are rapidly spreading wildfires in several areas, particularly in south Kashmir.
Mohammad Ashraf Katoo, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Kulgam, who is holding additional charge of Islamabad, said forest fires are raging at two locations in Islamabad district—Manzmoh and Verinag—while three spots in Kulgam district, including Lammer, Akhal and Pranhal, have also been affected.
