Coordinated Indian media drive raises questions over Modi security narrative

New Delhi: A coordinated campaign in sections of the Indian media and social media has triggered a debate after former Research and Analysis Wing chief Samant Goel highlighted “increasing security threats” facing Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to Kashmir24, reports circulated by Indian media outlets and accounts linked to Indian intelligence circles revealed that Samant Goel stressed that the prevailing global and domestic security environment remained highly volatile.

He reportedly argued that Modi’s security should be reviewed and strengthened rather than reduced, warning that downsizing the Prime Minister’s convoy could make him more vulnerable to attacks. He also emphasised that security arrangements should remain threat-based and said the anonymity of the Prime Minister’s vehicle must be maintained at all times.
