Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP-led Indian regime has intensified demolition drives and so-called anti-drug operations, which, locals say, are being used as a pretext to target Kashmiris and weaken the local economy.
According to Kashmir24, authorities carried out multiple demolition operations in different parts of the territory, including the destruction of over 15 structures along the Ring Road corridor in Jammu by the authorities. Locals termed the move selective targeting that has rendered several families economically vulnerable.
In Srinagar, police demolished a residential structure in the Palpora Noorbagh area on the stereotypical charge that the property was built using drug money. However, residents rejected the allegations stating that such measures are increasingly being used to justify punitive actions without transparent accountability.
