Indian forces launch cordon-and-search operation in Srinagar

Srinagar: Indian forces personnel launched a cordon-and-search operation in Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian forces intensified cordon-and-search operations and house-to-house searches in Batamaloo and adjoining areas of the city today.

The forces also stopped and interrogated pedestrians and conducted checking in commercial hubs, including Abi Guzar. The massive operation also continued in the upper reaches of the Pir Panjal range near Yusmarg in Budgam and in the Surankote area of Poonch district.

Similar high-alert cordon operations, vehicle frisking and searches were also reported from districts including Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian and Baramulla.
