MC chief, APHC leaders agree to strengthen joint efforts on Kashmir
Islamabad: President of Muslim Conference and former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan, along with a delegation, met the leadership of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference-Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter at its Islamabad office and agreed to strengthen mutual cooperation, coordination and contacts on the Kashmir issue.
The meeting was chaired by APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi and discussed the situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, ongoing human rights violations by Indian authorities, the Kashmiri people’s freedom struggle and efforts to highlight the Kashmir dispute at the international level.
Speaking on the occasion, Ghulam Muhammad Safi said Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute and the Kashmiri people have been struggling for their right to self-determination for decades. He said India’s use of force, restrictions, arrests and human rights violations cannot weaken the Kashmiri people’s resolve.
