Dispur : Students of the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE) in Sonapur, Assam, staged a protest following the death of third-year student Shruti Upadhyay.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Shruti complained of abdominal pain on September 4. Students alleged that despite repeated complaints, she was given only painkillers and her condition continued to deteriorate.
She died on Wednesday morning after being shifted to Nemcare Hospital. The exact cause of death is yet to be officially established.
