Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has warned that India is intensifying efforts to erase the distinct identity of the Kashmiri people in a calculated move to weaken their internationally recognized right to self-determination.
According to Kashmir24, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement in Srinagar said the Modi-led Indian regime is deliberately pursuing policies aimed at snatching Kashmiris’ identity, land, and cultural heritage to dilute the indigenous character of the territory. They said such measures are part of a broader strategy to convert the Muslim-majority population into a minority through demographic manipulation.
The APHC maintained that Hindutva-driven forces in India have openly expressed intentions to efface Kashmir’s unique identity and reshape it along ideological lines. “The BJP-RSS nexus is systematically paving the way for settler colonialism in IIOJK by altering demographic realities, granting domicile rights to non-locals, and seizing land and resources,” the spokesman added.
