IIOJK: Farooq Abdullah welcomes West Asia ceasefire, calls for lasting peace

 

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference president Farooq Abdullah has welcomed the de-escalation of tensions in West Asia, acknowledging the importance of mediation efforts and calling for lasting peace across the world.

According to Kashmir24, speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Farooq Abdullah expessed relief over the ceasefire, stating, “Thank God the war has stopped. I hope it remains stopped in the future as well, peace prevails in the world and we all benefit from it.”

Amit growing international recognition of Pakistan’s role in facilitating the de-escalation and calls for a Nobel Prize, he said, “….There is a better prize, which is the cause of humanity.”
